Florida State University

Located in Tallahasse, Florida State University, also known as Florida State or FSU, was established in 1851. The public university serves approximately 40,000 students and has an endowment of almost half a billion dollars. The university has over 300 programs of study and operates research centres and institutes in a variety of fields from marketing to music and from criminology to climate study. Its National High Magnetic Field Laboratory attracts researchers from around the world to study condensed matter, applied superconductivity, Cryogenics, and Geochemistry among other things. Other laboratories include the Florida Climate Institute, the Center for Advanced Power Systems, and the Future Fuels Institute.
