Dr Max Day is an Australian ecologist and entomologist. His 40 year research career took him to Harvard as a Lehman Fellow but he later returned to Australia and became the first Head of Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Division of Forest Research. He worked with the famous CSIRO insect collection and has been elected to the Australian Academy of Science as a Fellow.
