Robert F Curl Jr

Robert F. Curl Jr is a leading chemist known for advocating the role of science in society and who won the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.  He is an Emeritus Professor at the University of California’s Rice University.

He was a key member of the team that discovered buckminsterfullerene (C60), a new carbon molecule that broke new ground in carbon-based chemistry and helped to establish the field of nanotechnology.
