Andre Geim

Professor Andre Geim is an Applied Physicist at Manchester University, UK.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a Senior EPSRC Research Fellow. Born in Russia, Geim has held research posts in Russia, Denmark and the UK. He is currently director of Manchester Centre for Mesoscience and Nanotechnology.

Geim one an Ig Nobel Prize in 2000, but one the real Nobel Prize for Physics in 2010 for his work with Konstantin Sergeevich Novoselov.
