The renowned geneticist Craig Venter is to deliver the commencement address at Syracuse University on May 15th this year. Venter was listed as a finalist in Time magazines person of the year 2010 after creating the first ever self-replicating synthetic bacterial cell.
Syracuse Chancellor Nancy Cantor stated;
