Israel Institute of Technology

The Israel Institute of Technology, also called Technion, has almost 13,000 students and over 600 faculty members. The Institute is located in Haifa the 3rd largest city in Israel located along the coastline in the northern part of the country. The Institute has 18 faculties of which half are for some type of engineering. While the Institute does have a Faculty of Humanities and Arts, all the other faculties are related to science or math. Many graduates of the Institute go on to make contributions in Israel’s technology sector . Two of the university’s researchers shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004.
